Falsework construction
A retained Occupational Hygienist carried out noise monitoring for a major construction project and identified a particular noise problem caused by the practice of erecting and dismantling falsework for ceiling slab casting.
Falsework consists of props, which are used to support the weight above, and ledger frames to keep props vertical and prevent movement under load.
Moral of the Story – Retained Occupational Hygienists can help to control health hazards at source and make risk management easier. They can even save you money.
